Look, I know what you’re thinking, who uses Bing?! But, it’s the second largest search engine and the default search engine for Microsoft (meaning, a lot of people use it out of habit).
Google Business profiles have long been the center of most local businesses marketing strategy (sometimes their only strategy) and how they get the majority of their views. However, most businesses forget about Bing.
Bing Places is super easy to setup and allows you to sync your Google Business profile data to keep everything consistent.
Follow along and get setup in Bing to start showing up in MORE local search results!
Step 1 - Setup Microsoft account
Go to Bing Places and click "New User" (or sign in if you already have an account).
Step 2 - Import Google Business profile info
Once you finish creating or signing into your account you can import your data from Google Business.
Select "Import from Google Business Profile now" to initiate the sync. Then choose your sync interval and "Continue to Google Business Profile"
Step 3 - Sign into Google and allow sync
You’ll get a window asking you to allow the connection, hit allow then the “Continue to Google Business Profile” button
Step 4 - Import your profile
Select the business profile you want to sync then wait for confirmation that it was successful.
Step 5 - Success!
Now you’re syncing business data across both platforms and should start showing up in searches through Bing Places. In some cases, Bing Places will ask you to verify, which will take a little bit longer (verification comes through snail mail)
